1. ला कर बरहमनों को सियासत के पेच में ज़ुन्नारियों को दैर-ए-कुहन से निकाल दो

   अर्थ: Do not draw the Brahmins into the complexities of politics; free the innocent ones from the house of falsehood.

2. फ़िक्र-ए-'अरब को दे के फ़रंगी तख़य्युलात इस्लाम को हिजाज़-ओ-यमन से निकाल दो

   अर्थ: By giving the concern of the Arabs to the foreign imaginations, remove Islam from Hijaz and Yemen.

3. अहल-ए-हरम से उन की रिवायात छीन लो आहू को मर्ग़-ज़ार-ए-ख़ुतन से निकाल दो

   अर्थ: From the women of the household, take away their tales, And from the garden of the virgin's death, remove the sound.

4. 'इक़बाल' के नफ़स से है लाले की आग तेज़ ऐसे ग़ज़ल-सरा को चमन से निकाल दो

   अर्थ: The fire of the pomegranate is in Iqbal's breath, Remove such a ghazal-writer from the garden.
