દિલદારને સલામ

1. (રોલાવૃત્ત) સલામ રે દિલદાર, યારની કબૂલ કરજે;

   अर्थ: O Beloved, accept this greeting from your friend.

2. ખરેખરાં દુ:ખી નિત, ચીતમાં ચિંતા ભારી. મળવાની શી વાત, રાતની રાહ બહુ પાજી;

   अर्थ: Truly, always sorrowful, with heavy worries in the heart.What talk is there of meeting? The wait for night is very cruel.

3. ભાગ્યમાં નહિ જેહ, રહે ચાલુ ક્યમ આખી? હવે રહ્યું છે એ જ, સ્હેજ જો છૂટવું મોતે;

   अर्थ: That which is not in fate, how can it last its course?Now only this remains, a slight release through death.

4. જો ઊંચે ચિદ તેજ, તેજ સુખ હશે પોતે.

   अर्थ: If the supreme consciousness is light, that light itself will be bliss.
