Ghazal
नाला-ए-इज्ज़ नक़्स-ए-उलफ़त है
The ghazal suggests that the river of dignity (izzat) and the map of love (ulfat) define existence. The poet notes that while effort and suffering bring surprising relief, true love only yields tears of regret. Life is transient, as there is no lasting place for sorrow or joy; instead, the heart, being wounded, perceives every direction as a site of further pain.
