अमीरों तक रसाई हो चुकी बस
The ghazal describes a state where human destiny and struggle have become restricted only to the elite. गले में गेरवी कफ़नी है अब 'मीर'

Around your neck, a saffron shroud now lies, O Meer,

Literally, the couplet means that 'Meer' now has a saffron shroud around his neck, and only his title of 'Meerza' remains.
