فارسی مصدر 'آشامیدن' سے ماخوذ، آشامی پینے یا نوش کرنے کی حالت کو کہتے ہیں۔ اس شعر میں یہ 'آتش آشامی' (آگ پینا) کی ترکیب میں مستعمل ہے، جو عشق، انقلابی سوز اور باطنی حرارت کو شوق سے اپنانے اور جھیلنے کا استعارہ ہے۔
