विस्तार

शाब्दिक रूप से इसका अर्थ दृढ़ता या मज़बूती की कमी है। इस शेर में यह दिल की पुरानी कमज़ोरी, अस्थिरता और बेचैनी को दर्शाता है। आशिक़ के दिल का यह डांवाडोलपन और नाज़ुक हालत केवल साक़ी की शराब से ही संभल सकती है।

व्युत्पत्ति

Formed from the Persian negative prefix 'nā-' attached to the Arabic noun 'muḥkam' (firm, solid, fortified) and the Persian abstract noun suffix '-ī'.

प्रयोग

In classical ghazal poetry, it is employed as a metaphor for the lover's emotional fragility and inability to endure the trials of passion.
