Ghazal
This ghazal explores the experience of living a life steeped in intoxication and the process of healing the heart's deep wounds with a rosy hue. The poet describes the struggle of sighing since dawn and passing the night through some kind of disorder. It also captures the feeling of the beloved's slumber and the sudden revelation of her beauty when her veil is lifted.

All my life, I remained with the drunkard,
From the heart of the brave, a blush of pink.
All my life, I remained with the drunkard, from the heart of the brave, a blush of pink.

How will the morning break from the night's sighing pain,
How will the night pass through such a deep despairing strain?
The Shayar asks how the morning will emerge from the night's pain, and how this night will pass through such deep despair.

The bud has learned to bloom,
From the sleep-drowsiness of those eyes.
The bud has learned to bloom gradually, from the sleep-drowsiness of those eyes.

As soon as the burqa lifted, she shone like the moon,
But the stain is from her unveiled grace.
As soon as the burqa was lifted, she glowed like the moon, but the stain/mark comes from her unveiled beauty.

I had much passion for love, O Meer,
But I was left empty of life's zest.
I was deeply attached to love, but 'Meer' says that I have been left empty of life's zest or enthusiasm.
