Ghazal
याँ सरकशाँ जो साहब-ए-ताज ओ लवा हुए
This ghazal describes the irony of a person who, despite being the center of attention or royalty, fails to recognize their true worth. The poet suggests that those who leave the gathering or the person's company will deeply regret it, just as a garden loses its vibrancy without its bloom.

पामाल हो गए तो न जाना कि क्या हुए
If the master of the crown, the great lord, should wander and stray,
Do not know what has happened when he has become desolate.
If the master of the crown, the great lord, should wander and stray, do not know what has happened when he has become desolate.

Not even a single spectacle of a flower was seen in the garden, yet we are departing from the spring of the cage.

आदम की क़द्र होती है ज़ाहिर जुदा हुए
You will regret the place from which we have left,
Man's worth is revealed when we are separated.
You will greatly regret the place from which we departed; man's worth is evident when separated.

Without you, the company of the garden's people was empty,
Though a thousand roses bloomed, I did not bloom.
Without you, the company of the garden's people was empty; though a thousand roses bloomed, I did not bloom.
