हरि तुम हरो जन की भीर
This devotional ghazal is a heartfelt plea to Lord Hari to remove the suffering of his devotees. It recounts past miracles, such as saving Draupadi's honor by extending her saree and taking the Narasimha avatar to protect Prahlad and slay Hiranyakashipu, as examples of divine intervention for his followers.

For the devotee's sake, Narahari assumed his own form.

हिरणकश्यपु मार दीन्हों, धरयो नाहिंन धीर॥
Hiranyakashyapu was struck down,No patience did He show.

बूडते गजराज राखे, कियो बाहर नीर।
He saved the king elephant from sinking deep,And brought him out of the water's keep.

दासि 'मीरा लाल गिरिधर, दु:ख जहाँ तहँ पीर॥
Meera, servant of Lord Giridhar, wherever there is sorrow, there is pain.
