One who does not know the Guru, the Lord, or the ultimate truth, cannot cross the ocean of existence.

Kabir beautifully uses the metaphor of the ocean to describe the overwhelming journey of life. This 'ocean of existence' is too vast for anyone to navigate without proper guidance. The Shayar suggests that spiritual truth is not something one can discover purely through self-effort; it requires the wisdom of the Guru. Only the true teacher can guide the disciple across the perilous waters to the shore of liberation.
