Ghalib (I) am somewhat beyond the comprehension of imagination regarding status. It is the helplessness of my devotion that I call Ali God.

My dear friend, Ghalib, with his profound wisdom, touches upon something truly vast here. He says Ali's 'rutba' – his incredible stature or eminence – is so immense, it's beyond our 'fehm' – our full understanding or 'tasavvur' – our very imagination. It’s like trying to hold the ocean in a teacup, isn't it? Such greatness simply overwhelms the mind. And because words fall so utterly short, Ghalib speaks of his 'ijz-e-bandagi' – the sheer humility and inadequacy of his own devotion. It's out of this deep reverence and his inability to express Ali's grandeur that he makes an astonishing claim: 'I call Ali God'. But he's not literally declaring divinity, you see; it's a profound hyperbole, an ultimate compliment born from overwhelming love. Think of a child looking at their hero and exclaiming, 'You're like a god to me!' They don't mean it literally, but it’s their heart overflowing. Ghalib, in his sophisticated way, admits that when faced with such immense spiritual presence, language itself simply buckles. It's the ultimate expression of how true devotion often transcends the logical limits of words.
