The sharpness of the tongue is the cause of the soul's burning. Here, every candle is entirely a finger for testimony.
My dear friend, Ghalib, with his deep insight, opens our hearts to a profound truth. He observes: "The intensity of the `zabaan` – that's our tongue, our speech – is the very `sabab-e`, the reason for the soul's burning." Haven't we all felt that `sokhtan-e-jaan`, that deep ache, when our own words have scorched us inside? Then, he paints a beautiful, haunting image: "Every `sham'`, every candle, is entirely an `angusht`, a finger, pointing to its own `shahādat`." This `sham'`, as it burns down, acts like that `angusht`, giving silent testimony – powerful proof – of its own sacrifice. Our words, once spoken, become our testament, just like that candle; they can either consume us or illuminate. So, guard your utterances, for they are silent flames that either guide your way or diminish your very essence.
