Come (once again) from thy cell to Mosque,
For everyone longs for a glimpse of thy image full of light;
(And) denizens of both the worlds (i.e., this world and the Hereafter) are laying their eyes in thy path
Human beings, angels, the houris and the fairies.
— Bulleh Shah
Meaning
The couplet asks you to reappear from your confinement (cell) to the Mosque, because everyone desires a glimpse of your brightly illuminated image. Furthermore, all beings from both worlds (this life and the afterlife) are looking toward your path, including humans, angels, houris, and fairies.
Explanation
Bulleh Shah invites us to a deeply spiritual and universal yearning. The Shayar suggests that the divine presence—the 'light'—is so overwhelmingly beautiful that it draws attention from every corner of existence. From human beings to angels, from the earthly realm to the heavenly, everyone is captivated by the radiance. It speaks to a profound longing for the divine glimpse, a universal desire that transcends all boundaries of life and time.
