Aah Ke Teen Dil-e-hairaan-o-khafa Ko Saumpa
आह के तीं दिल-ए-हैरान-ओ-ख़फ़ा को सौंपा

आह के तीं दिल-ए-हैरान-ओ-ख़फ़ा को सौंपा
मैं ने ये ग़ुंचा-ए-तस्वीर सबा को सौंपा
To the heart, bewildered and distressed, I entrusted this tender flower of beauty; I also entrusted this blossom of memory to the dawn.

तेरे कूचे में मिरी ख़ाक भी पामाल हुई
था वो बे-दर्द मुझे जिन ने वफ़ा को सौंपा
Even my dust became disheveled in your lanes,
By those who entrusted me with fidelity, who were heartless.
Even my dust became soiled in your paths, due to those heartless people who had entrusted me with fidelity.

अब तो जाता ही है का'बे को तो बुत-ख़ाने से
जल्द फिर पहुँचियो ऐ 'मीर' ख़ुदा को सौंपा
Now, I am leaving for the Kaaba, from this temple of idols;
Quickly reach, O 'Mir', for God has entrusted (my soul/fate).
Now, I am leaving towards the Kaaba, from this idol-temple; quickly arrive, O 'Mir', because God has entrusted (my life/existence).
