Ghazal
सफ़ा-ए-हैरत-ए-आईना है सामान-ए-ज़ंग आख़िर
This ghazal delves into the ironic decay inherent in stillness and purity, asserting that even a mirror's clarity can become a source of rust, and stagnant water eventually changes color. It reflects on the futility of worldly pleasures and status in alleviating inner turmoil, noting how luxury can even highlight one's deep-seated unrest. Ultimately, the poet advocates for a state of emptiness and humility, likening it to the new moon, as excessive accumulation, like the full moon, inevitably leads to constriction and distress.
